Catholic Mission
In the month of October not only is it set aside for the Rosary, but it is also Catholic Mission month. At St Clare’s we have a few actions to ensure that we all have life to a full. These actions are:
- Whole school prayer celebration at assembly, last Friday
- Tomorrow we have our Mission Stalls to raise money for the cause
- John Duiker, director of Catholic Missions came and spoke to the whole school about how our prayers and money can assist those less fortunate than ourselves.
Thank you everyone for your kindness of both prayers and donations to assist Catholic Missions with creating a better life for others.
November the month to Remember
In the month of November we remember those who have passed. At St Clare's we would like to prepare a prayer book with all of those we want to be remembered throughout the month, and keep them in our prayers. Please add the name/s of people you would like to remember in November. If you have more than 5 people to remember, please complete another form. Please complete by 24 October 2025.
Faith in Action - Year 5 Leadership Day
On Friday 7 November our Year 5 students will participate in a Leadership Day. The purpose of this day is to ensure that all of our Year 5s feel like they will be leaders of our school with or without a specific role. We will be having Peter McAuliffe from the Character Project presenting to the children on the following topics:
- Creating the Connections
- Connect to Spirituality and the Bigger Picture
- The Call to Contribute
We are looking forward to this experience and for the Year 5s to identify with themselves as leaders of St Clare’s.
Sacramental Program 2026
We have started our planning for the Sacramental Program in 2026. St Anthony's Parish conducts a parish-based sacramental programme, outside of school hours, which, after enrolment, commences with an education evening for the parents. There are six sacrament formation sessions the children attend, accompanied by their parent/s, which take one hour each (see below section - Important Dates). It is expected that participants in the Sacrament Programme attend Mass each week to ensure a successful initiation.
If you are interested in child being a part in 2026 please complete the Google Form, or if you would like more information I would be more than happy to discuss with you.
World Mission Rosary
The World Mission Rosary has a colour-coded decade representing each continent where the Church continues Pauline's mission. It helps us to understand what is means to belong to a Global Church and how the Church can be a leader in the world through the work of Mission.
