FROM THE DESK OF THE PRINCIPAL

Another school term is wrapping up, and it's been a busy one! We are so proud of all the students, especially those who took part in the Italian Speaking Competition and the performers in the recent instrumental strings concert. Our school sports teams have also had a terrific term, from the inter-house and inter-school athletics to the Challenge Games, Interschool Sport, and the Rugby League Les Tag team that narrowly missed the grand final.

This term also brought many other great events, including Catholic Education Week, Prep 100 Days, Year 5 camps, a few excursions, and Indigenous Literacy Day. And with Eisteddfod and Book Week still underway, there's even more to look forward to next week!

A huge thank you to all the volunteers and staff who helped make these wonderful events possible.

As we get ready for next term, we're looking forward to all the exciting and enriching events ahead. Keep an eye on the school's communication channels for a list of key dates in Term 4.

To help everyone start the new term successfully, please ensure students return to school in their full uniform, with their hair styled in a way that aligns with school policy.

Baby News

Congratulations to Mrs Amy Rolfe and husband Eli on the safe arrival of baby Rory. His two older siblings are very excited to welcome him to the world.

Drop off, pick up and parking

It is timely to revise the supervision arrangements for students at St Clare’s as we have many students arriving at school before supervision begins and some being collected after supervision ends.

Before School:

St Clare’s provides supervision from 8am in two areas each morning - E-Block (Prep and Year 1) and MPH (Years 2 - 6). Students arriving before this time must remain supervised by a parent/guardian until duty commences. Please do not leave your child unattended prior to 8am.

After School:

Students are dismissed from class at the second bell which rings at 2.45pm and St Clare’s provides supervision until 3.25pm in the Stop Drop Go area. Due to the after school commitments of staff, please ensure that children are collected prior to this time. Collection of students from anywhere within the service road also places students at unnecessary risks. For those requiring disability access there is accessible parking in the parent parking areas. The disabled park in the staff carpark (service road) is reserved for staff members requiring this space. In extenuating circumstances, please contact a member of the leadership team to make alternative arrangements.

In addition to supervision in the the Stop Drop Go area, a member of the Leadership Team (usually Mrs Wade) provides supervision at the gate on Burdell Drive (adjacent to the Sensory Playground) until 3pm. Children remaining in this area after this time will be redirected to SDG to be collected by 3.25pm.
